Admissions

Introduction

Jalaram Academy welcomes children from diverse backgrounds. Our Nursery Section accepts students from ages 3-5, Primary School accepts students from ages 6 to 13, and our Secondary School serves students up to 18 years old.

While the academic year starts in September, we offer enrollment in January as well. To apply, simply complete the application form. Once we receive the form, your child will be invited for an interview, after which you will be notified of the next steps.

We highly recommend you visit the school for a school tour or have an informal chat with the head(s) of section(s), the senior principal or school Admin before starting the Admission process.

How is the interview?

The interview at Jalaram Academy is typically a relaxed and child-friendly process designed to assess the student's academic readiness, personal interests, and overall fit for the school. It aims to get to know the student better in terms of their personality, strengths, and needs. The interview may include:

1. Casual Conversation: The interviewer may ask the student about their hobbies, previous school experiences, and interests. This helps the school understand the child's character and background.

2. Basic Academic Evaluation: Depending on the age group, the school might assess basic academic skills, such as literacy and numeracy for younger children or subject-specific knowledge for older students.

3. Social and Emotional Aspects: The interview may explore how the child interacts with peers and handles social situations, as Jalaram Academy values a supportive and inclusive environment.

4. Parent Involvement: For younger students, parents may also be asked questions about their child's development and any special considerations to ensure the school can meet their needs.

Overall, the interview is meant to ensure the child will thrive at Jalaram Academy while making them feel comfortable and welcome.
